Omoils botanicals We use 100% natural and mostly organic ingredients and essential oils in all skincare products. No synthetic oils and fragrances and never anything that is not vegan or cruely-free. There is zero water and no chemicals, parabens or preservatives.

Uji candles We use mostly natural ingredients and a small percentage of fragrances which consist of a blend of natural and man-made fragrances. It would be great if we could use only essential oils in our candles however this is very difficult as essential oils do not mix well with most waxes and this would result in an uneven distribution of fragrance or worse than that, no scent at all. Unlike fragrance oils, essential oils often have low flash points and this causes them to evaporate when added to hot wax. All our candles contain 100% plant-derived wax and are vegan, cruelty-free and phthalate-free.

If you are allergic to fragrance oils, we suggest burning essential oils in an oil burner as an alternative to candles.

Our products do not contain water. Water usually makes up around 90% of skincare products. This means that our products are ultra rich and a little bit goes a very long way so that you only need to use a small amount of product each time.

Yes, natural products can be just as effective as conventional skincare products, depending on the specific ingredients and formulation. Many natural ingredients have been used for centuries for their nourishing and healing properties.

No, some essential oils have to be avoided when pregnant especially during the first trimester. If you have any doubt on any specific product, drop us a message and we will be happy to answer your questions.

These are harmful man man chemical compunds lurking in many products such as fragrances,
perfumes, moisturisers, spray, nail polish, air freshners etc.They are used to retain the scents in fragrances, help lotions penetrate skin and other purposes.  They have been linked to asthma, ADHD, breast cancer, obesity, reproductive issues. They are not banned in Europe. Omoils Botanicals and Uji Candles do not contain phtalates.

Yes most natural products are safe to use on sensitive skin as they are free from fragrances and other irritants.

When you apply body oil to wet skin, the oil is able to penetrate the skin more easily and deeply. This is because water helps to open up the pores on your skin, allowing the oil to seep in more effectively. Additionally, water helps to lock
in that moisture. This can leave your skin feeling softer, smoother, and more hydrated.

Omoils botanicals Simply wipe out any residue at the bottom of the jars with a tissue or dry cloth. Soak in hot or boiling water and your favourite dish soap.

Uji candles To clean out the remaining wax at the bottom of the jar or tin, place the candle vessel in a pot or large metal bowl. Pour boiling water into the pan around the candle, until the wax dissolves. Once the wax is liquified wipe it out with a tissue or napkin. Do not pour any wax into a sink or toilet as it will clog the pipes.

Cover the wax with a paper tissue and heat it through the paper tissue using a hairdryer.  Once it is melted, wipe if off with a dry cloth.
